A movie clich\u00e9 or trope or stereotype is the term used to express anything that has been \u2018overused<\/em>\u2019 or \u2018worn out<\/em>\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In today\u2019s society, there is a never-ending list of phrases, words, and actions that can be referred to as cliches. Irrespective of language, culture, or country there are many to be found. But even though we cringe at a few tropes or cliches, we do use them in our lives regularly and there is even a separate fan base for such tropes if one dare says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The problem arises when these tropes get out of hand and look so unrealistic, making us desperately wish to unsee them and go absolutely bonkers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is one such list of movie cliches that are so predictable that they make the movie a bummer to watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Racing Through The Airport To Confess Their Love<\/h2>\n\n\n

Crazy Rich Asians<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Everyone including the Gods know for sure that the couple is going to end up together, so why make it over dramatic by running all the way across the airport to confess your love?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With just a little bit of training you could be the next Usain Bolt. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it\u2019s always a mystery how they manage to surpass every security detail in such a short time and always, like always get to reunite with their loved ones just before the airplane takes off. There is no way in real life airport security will get awww<\/em>-struck seeing that gesture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be a miracle to not end up rotting in jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Villains Detailing Their Plan Elaborately<\/h2>\n\n\n

They act as if they have all the time in the world to kill the hero. Has it never ever occurred to them that they are being the nice guy here, sharing their story with the enemy that could be used against them? But when the roles are reversed the hero will make sure to kill the villain in a matter of seconds, in a blink of an eye. Dude\u2026 Are you nuts? Why reveal every tiny detail of your plan, along with its pitfalls? If you decide to be the bad guy then be the bad guy to the core. You just have one job, for god\u2019s sake pull yourself together and do it properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Big Cities Get Destroyed<\/h2>\n\n\n

Without fail in every single Superhero movie, even if the hero is from a small town or something, he always ends up fighting against the villains in a big city destroying anything and everything that comes their way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Helloo! Excuse us, are you going to pay them back or how does it work? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because some of the things you broke might not come under insurance coverage, FYI. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The worst part is they always save the day by creating absolute havoc but and are never held accountable. What a life man! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are held responsible just for replacing our lunch box\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children Are Much Smarter Than Adults<\/h2>\n\n\n

Okay, it\u2019s plain truth that kids these days are super smarter than grownups, and sometimes they can even outrun adults. The same goes for the movies, every time a kid appears in the movies, they are really intelligent and kind of aloof until they have a meet-cute with the main character. They pretty much are the ones to offer some great wisdom that gets the lead character to see a truth that was right in front of them the whole time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come on, for real, how dumb could these main characters get?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Never Look Back At An Explosion<\/h2>\n\n\n

In every action film, we get to witness this great climax where a huge explosion takes place in the background as the lead walks calmly toward the camera without any sweat about what is happening behind them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who are you people? How can an explosion not be startling? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even just a simple flinch would suffice, but nope, they\u2019re way too cool for that. They just walk away with such a swagger. Or could it be that they might have been secretly doing this since childhood. Maybe it\u2019s time for us to start our practice sessions too so that we could be chill about it if we ever encounter such a situation in our boring lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just Snip A Wire Right before The Bomb Detonates<\/h2>\n\n\n

We all know that hero is the one who will save the day. But why wait till the end of the earth to do it? The same goes while detonating a bomb it is bound to happen at the very last second after all the sweet little goodbye speech which usually ends with a very emotional,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTell them I love them\u201d. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They make diffusing a bomb look like a piece of cake. But without knowing anything about it they somehow manage to cut the correct wire every time just before the timer reaches 00:01.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noteworthy talent indeed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cutting Hair To Convey Trauma<\/h2>\n\n\n

It is possible to show a character’s hardships in many different ways. But why is it that every single time, most probably a female character is shown to cut her hair using only a pair of scissors in a dimly lit bathroom to convey this experience? Or else any character that is heartbroken is shown to get a haircut in a nice salon to get over that person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can a change in haircut or hair color help a person go through tough times? Come on. Are they for real? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, this list goes on and on. In case anyone is trying to write a screenplay, try to avoid these overused cliches in the script if possible, and if not, it’s fine. We’ll just have more content to write another rant listicle, hume kya?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
