The world is becoming a complicated mess day after day. People are not even allowed to feel what they feel or do they want to. Everyone has been thought to not show their weakness or vulnerabilities to anyone including family and friends. Is this healthy?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even when there were no technologies to address people who are far away from their loved ones, they made sure to communicate with them regularly through letters. Whereas now, even though everything is a swipe away we don\u2019t get in touch regularly. Even worse share are feelings wholeheartedly with someone. What have we come to?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s why letters are considered very special even today. They hold something more than mere words and sentences. They contain feelings and emotions. When someone takes time to put in extra effort to write a letter to their loved one, what more can one ask for?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, here are some iconic letters from history, which will inspire <\/a>everyone to pick up the pens and start giving shape to our feelings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#1 Napoleon Bonaparte to Jos\u00e9phine de Beauharnais<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Who would have thought even in their wildest dreams that such a big war hero who is known for the large empire he built following the French Revolution would be such a sucker for love? Josephine is well-known for her involvement with men in politics, power, and the military. Napoleon met her when he was a young officer and was instantly taken with her. He continued to write love letters to her while he was at war. Some of his letters stood the test of time till now.<\/p>\n\n\n

#2 Zelda Fitzgerald to F Scott Fitzgerald<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Fitzgeralds were infamous novelists and short-story writers couples, who were known for having a turbulent relationship, spite them being head over heels for each other. They both had eccentric personalities yet their passion for each other was strong. The letters Zelda wrote were a testament to their love. Even though their love is not anything near perfect at least their letters were.<\/p>\n\n\n

#3 Ludwig van Beethoven to his Immortal Beloved<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A love letter that holds such a mystery to everyone even today after centuries. There has been n <\/em>number of speculations throughout history, but it is to no vain. But one thing that is for sure is that there is no questioning of Beethoven\u2019s love and passion towards that person. This unsent letter was found in along with his belongings shortly after his death. A real tragedy indeed.<\/p>\n\n\n

#4 Oscar Wilde to Lord Alfred Douglas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In his poetry, Oscar Wilde reflects on his passionate and tumultuous love for Lord Alfred Douglas, a fellow poet and an undergraduate at Oxford at the time of their meeting. Douglas became Wilde\u2019s muse. Throughout the course of their affair, Wilde wrote some of his most stirring works, professing his love for Bosie including Salom\u00e9 and The Importance of Being Earnest.<\/p>\n\n\n

#5 Emily Dickinson to Susan Gilbert<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Four months before her twentieth birthday, Poet Emily Dickinson met the person who became her first love and remained her greatest who continued to stay as a lifelong friend. These passionate letters were most likely written when they were in their early 20s; fortunately, only Emily’s side survives, so we don’t know how Susan responded. Hence, we never know if her love was reciprocated or not.<\/p>\n\n\n
