Although food (Dhaam<\/em> served on leaves to people sitting down) is cooked by the cooks called ‘Boti’, all the males of the family get up in the morning and sit down to cut up the vegetables, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DJ plays Pahadi <\/em>folk songs upon which people dance, twirling slowly and smiling at each other. Not even one fight broke out in the entire three day wedding I attended. Dowry is rare and people are mild mannered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personal Growth in the Hills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Living amidst a different landscape and lifestyle has contributed to Rahul’s personal growth. Trusting people more, respecting farmers, and embracing the simplicity of life are among the valuable lessons he has imbibed.<\/p>\n\n\n
