Food! Something we all live for…don’t we? Food blogging has been picked up like hot cakes on social media platforms. From drool-worthy images on Instagram to informative food blogs, one can find more than few line reviews on a restaurant or eatery. But, but, the question is what exactly is food writing?

All such questions were answered in the Twitter chat held on 28th March 2018 when we brought some chatter around food writing. On asking if one had to choose what would be their last meal, we got some salivating choices. Aamras, mutton biryani, vada pav, rajma chawal, and thayir sadam, yes, yes, we had everything on the plate.

Food and writing have been here since man has, but what has made food writing so popular today?

We all need the inspiration to begin and to sustain. Food writing is no different. You know the ingredients, you know the recipe, but what’s that one thing one admires in a food-related article/account?

We mostly come across about food on Instagram and through blogging. So, is social media the be-all and end-all of food writing? What about TV and print? Is there any scope of food writing/videos on the traditional platform?

Who wants to stop talking about food? Right? But all good things come to an end, and so did the session. Sauteed in experiences and funny incidents, the twitter chat was cooked on low flame where many food bloggers added their special ingredients to make the recipe better and informative.
