During our lifetime, we meet a lot of people. As toddlers, we are comfortable only with our parents and may be a few relatives. As we grow, the list of people whom we know keeps increasing. We make friends. We make enemies.
Social beings that we are, we need people in our lives. Even a single day is difficult to live without contact with another person.
Though we meet a lot of people every day, we don’t feel the same about everyone. Each day, we pass by a sea of people, mostly unknown. We have familiar strangers about whom we have no information, yet we speak to them in the universal language of a smile. We have our friends who help us when we need them and make our lives happier. We have our family members who are our support system and our people who care for us.
No matter what, we have that special person without whom it is hard to imagine life.
It may be your Dad who guides you and inspires you.
It may be your Mom who does everything she possibly can to keep you happy.
It may be your brother or sister with whom you fight always but you feel lonely when they are not around.
It may be your crazy friend who is with you in the mischief that you do.
It may be your spouse who is with you in your good times and bad times.
But we always have that one person.
If we don’t have that one person, may be we have that one thing that we cannot live without. A book, a diary, a song, a place, a pet, a journey- our live seems to revolve around something which becomes the essence of our being.
Who is that someone or what is that something to you?
The prompt for the week is “Without you”. Go ahead and tell us what is life without that someone or something. It could be an emotional tale or something that would make us laugh out loud. We are waiting to read your stories and poems for our day is incomplete without your posts!
Is an engineer by the day and when the sun sets to make way for the night, she puts on her thinking cap and her fingers itch to hit the keyboard and write. While not writing- code or creative stuff, she prefers to read. Give her a good book, some fresh air and some food and she promises not to disturb you until she finishes the book. She likes keeping herself busy be it with reading, writing, music or sports! She loves to talk a lot but yes she loves quiet walks in nature.
She blogs at The Write World.
