As a blogger or a social media influencer, we all harbor dreams of monetising our efforts. And there is no harm in that. Given most of us dedicate more than three to four hours in building our online presence, this should be a natural course of actions.

But what we often forget in due time is that at the other end of our efforts is a loyal readership who has cultivated a relationship with us and our blog. Whose very presence is the reason behind our new found success.

And this reader hence deserves our transparency.

A lot of you keep asking us what and how should sponsored posts be carried on blog.

FTC or Federal Trade Commission (US) has recently updated its guidelines to now include blogging and social media influencing as well in its purview. You can see the exact implication of this update below: Source : MediaKix

The above guidelines are exclusive to US alone but they are being largely used to help social influencers understand the nuances of endorsements and disclosures everywhere.

We hope a lot of your doubts on disclosures related to sponsored posts have been sorted. If not, we are still an email or ping away!

Around the challenge we have built up a rather interesting festival as well called the Blogchatter Writing Festival– celebrating the blogger to author journey.

Did we say author?

Oh wait. Have you not seen last year’s post challenge Blogchatter Ebook carnival? Championed by Chitra Divakaruni we received twenty six ebooks during the month of May all self-published by our community members.

This time we have eight popular authors who are coming along as part of our mentor program for festival, taking up special twitter chats and facebook live sessions to further your publishing dream. Read more here: Blogchatter Writing Festival

As part of Festival we will once again be opening our portals for your self-published ebooks (in case you choose to convert your April blogging challenge into one). You can ping us here or anywhere you find us for queries, etc.

This month we will also be taking up the #AtoZChallenge with you. Celebrating better blogging across platforms through our theme:
