Fun fact: Adding an image to a post or social update increases engagement by 38 % !

Another fun fact: Adding source as ‘Google Images’ decreases your blogging ethics by 100 % !

There is nothing like Google images under the noun section. Under the verb of course it is our first step moment we decide to blog a post.

Free Images has been a rather difficult topic to comprehend by bloggers everywhere.

Googling a topic and lifting data off it without giving credit is wrong.

Googling for images and lifting data off it and giving source as ‘Google Images’ is absolutely WRONG!

Free Images are copyright free images that can be used by bloggers, writers, social media influencers without as much as credit. They can be found at many websites such as, etc.

So next time you decide to add an image or tweet a photo ensure that you have taken it off websites that do not need credit or money for commercial usage. If you do like an image that is not free or has clauses then send them an email, find out the right terms and abide by them

In addition to ‘google images’, a lot of bloggers use tools such as canva, etc to create posters, banners and even logos ! Please note that most of these websites do not allow usage of their services for logo making or even for creation of posters that can be commercially passed on. They are strictly meant for promotional material that doesn’t engage any money.

Around the challenge we have built up a rather interesting festival as well called the Blogchatter Writing Festival– celebrating the blogger to author journey.

Did we say author?

Oh wait. Have you not seen last year’s post challenge Blogchatter Ebook carnival? Championed by Chitra Divakaruni we received twenty six ebooks during the month of May all self-published by our community members.

This time we have eight popular authors who are coming along as part of our mentor program for festival, taking up special twitter chats and facebook live sessions to further your publishing dream. Read more here: Blogchatter Writing Festival

As part of Festival we will once again be opening our portals for your self-published ebooks (in case you choose to convert your April blogging challenge into one). You can ping us here or anywhere you find us for queries, etc.

This month we will also be taking up the #AtoZChallenge with you. Celebrating better blogging across platforms through our theme:
