The whole world is going chaotic over sanitizers, soap, masks and shortage of toilet paper soon after the Coronavirus outbreak. The Coronavirus made sure it got all the spotlight one can dream of, huh? It seems like work from home has become the new trend now. Is there an option with not just our favourite places, but even offices shut down? Amidst the frantic and sanctimonious remedies, 20 second jingles to entertain yourself with while washing hands, a Robin Cook book such as Outbreak can surely have the spooky effect on us now, can’t it? Talk about reading recommendations…

We’ll leave it to the prophets to tell us if it’s really the apocalypse coming (for the umpteenth time) or just a phase that we need to let pass. Meanwhile, you are stuck at home, wondering how to stay sane. Perhaps this post will help you find some direction?

When you’ve gotta self isolate but still live the dream

Don’t Hit Snooze…

Speaking of dreams and spotlight, why should a virus get all of it? Remember that day you wished you had the time to finish that half done project or learn that highly complex recipe? Recall that other time you wanted to start that blog or finish that precarious pile of To-Be-Read books. (Ah, who are we kidding, that pile will keep getting higher.) Anyway, your wish for time has been granted. Not in the best circumstances, we agree, but we can always make the most of what we have. It’s time to bring action to them dreams. The Eurythmics did sing, “Sweet dreams are made of this, who am I to disagree…” Work from home gives you the flexibility to create your own schedules whilst giving sufficient time to work on your dream projects.

to puri kaainat usse tumse milne ki koshish mein lag jaati hai. *om shanti om music plays softly while your eyes get all starry* Waaaiit ! If you read between the lines even Om Prakash Makhija.. er.. SRK or Paulo Coelho will tell you that dreams mean work. How about going back to that vision board/ bucket list/ planner and revisiting all the dreams you abandoned because of lack of time? You now have the space and time to turn them into a reality.

Beyond that, we also have some other ways you can use to entertain yourself and learn new skills, all at the same time. If you’re someone who’s always on the go and the work from home thing is getting on your nerves, you should definitely thrill yourself with the A2Z Challenge. Is that E-book you left in planning stages calling out to you? Then you have the E-Book Carnival after April to look forward to. Or you can join us for a one-of-a-kind Writing Festival. You have a dream project to work on now, yayy!

Maybe the Universe did conspire to give us some time to reminisce and think about the important things of life. Kyuki, yeh toh vidhi ka vidhan hai, mitra. Use this work from home or isolation time to figure out what you can do to make those dream projects a reality and share with us your thoughts. The online space is not off limits, you know. No quarantine. Our doors are always open!
