Who: Sreemoyee Piu Kundu is an expert in handling non-fiction and social themes. Attend the chat to learn how to deal with such topics in writing that are mostly hushed and whispered in corners. On writing meaningfully, boldly and convincingly so that readers sit up and take notice. On learning how to research for a story, that is, finding and interviewing the right people, and also asking the right questions, to get enough relevant data for the piece.

What: Facebook Live session on ‘being a woman author, expressing your views’

Who: Kiran Manral has written fiction with central characters from housewives, mothers, to office going ladies. She writes columns on feminism, sexuality, gender issues and parenting on SheThePeople, Tehelka and DNA. Attend the live session to learn the nuances of expressing your views through fiction and non fiction portals.

Who: Siddhartha Gigoo is an author and filmmaker. His collection of short stories A Fistful of Earth and Other Stories (2015) was shortlisted for the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award 2015. His short story The Umbrella Man won the Commonwealth Short Story Prize 2015 for Asia. Attend the chat to learn from the expert on how to ace the art of writing short stories.

What: Facebook Live session on ‘mythology’

When: 9.30 PM

Who: Anand Neelakantan is the author who introduced and popularized the counter-telling of mythological tales in Indian literature. Author of mythological novels like Asura, Ajaya, and The Rise of Sivagami, he is also the screen writer of popular TV shows “Siya Ke Raam” – a retelling of Ramayana from Sita’s perspective. Join in this live session where we decode the mythology game with Anand.
