We are officially kick-starting Writing Festival Season 2 this weekend – yay! And we hope all of you are as excited as us about going on this writing adventure. Here’s a list of the 4 sessions that’ll be conducted over the weekend and all you need to know:


What: Twitter chat on ‘the elusive book deal’

When: 8.30 PM

Who: Dipankar Mukherjee is the founder and publisher of one of India’s fastest growing publishing houses, Readomania. The session is specifically aimed at what a publisher expects from a manuscript and will help us figure out what readers expect from a good book.


What: Facebook Live session on ‘journey of blogging to published writer’

When: 9.30 PM

Who: Rickie Khosla started as many of our community members, a blogger before becoming a published author with his debut novel Pretty.Vile.Girl. The session is going to focus on this journey of his and what it takes to transform a passion of writing to the next level.

What: Twitter chat on ‘how to write romance’

When: 8.30 PM

Who: Kanchana Banerjee’s debut novel, A Forgotten Affair, is a refreshing take on contemporary marriage. A writer of two decades, pick her brains on the dos and don’ts of writing romance. This session will help writers understand how to keep the plot intact and the romance going.


What: Facebook Live session on ‘films and writing’

When: 9.30 PM

Who: Baradwaj Rangan received no formal training in filmmaking and writing. But his interest in the field made him an award winning film critic. An interview by Amrit Rukhaiyaar, this session will give you insights on why content is king, the importance of plot and keeping the audience engaged.
