We are racing towards the end of this challenge and each day we are asking ourself only one question:

Are we contributing towards making Blogging more ethical?

We are far away from finding an answer to that question but we are going to align our efforts to ensure maximum chance of that happening!

So tonight we do a recap. We send five points to remember while Blogging towards a more ethical experience:

1 Idea, content, research

While putting together a post, ALWAYS check if there can be people or websites who should be credited with. Backlinks, social media mentions, bring the whole jing bang.

2 Community

Grow your network with intent. Build relationships that last. Easiest way to do that? Express gratitude when due 🙂

3 Commenting

We are going to keep it simple for you here. Reading a blog follows a simple three step rule: Read- Comment- Share

4 Sponsored Posts

Three steps again? 1. Add a tag or mention that it is sponsored. 2. Give complete disclosures in case of any exchange of goods, etc. 3. Give an honest account of the experience or coverage

5 Content

As a blogger you have responsibility to not only save your content from copyright breach but also to ensure your own content is free from any such breaches. A simple fact check and copyright proofing can always help.

Around the challenge we have built up a rather interesting festival as well called the Blogchatter Writing Festival– celebrating the blogger to author journey.

Did we say author?

Oh wait. Have you not seen last year’s post challenge Blogchatter Ebook carnival? Championed by Chitra Divakaruni we received twenty six ebooks during the month of May all self-published by our community members.

This time we have eight popular authors who are coming along as part of our mentor program for festival, taking up special twitter chats and facebook live sessions to further your publishing dream. Read more here: Blogchatter Writing Festival

As part of Festival we will once again be opening our portals for your self-published ebooks (in case you choose to convert your April blogging challenge into one). You can ping us here or anywhere you find us for queries, etc.

This month we will also be taking up the #AtoZChallenge with you. Celebrating better blogging across platforms through our theme:
