Readers know the real joy that a book gives. And if we the readers think back, the love for reading is acquired in the childhood. The Enid Blytons, Hardy Boys, Noddy series hold a special place. A lot of these were borrowed from the school library, that place which first introduced us to these marvellous worlds.
Fast forward to today, and as a reader you would want as many children to know the happiness that fictional worlds bring. And you would agree that reading early sets the foundation for a lifetime of learning and exploring new things, places and emotions.
However, there are many children out there who do not have an easy access to books. Either they do not have the means to buy or their schools and communities do not have libraries. Unfortunate yes, but you can help change this.
Weave Library Project
For many schools that are being set up in the remote areas or smaller villages of Leh and Laddakh, Nubra and Kargil, there is an additional requirement of library rooms, designated library periods and above all the need for children’s books.
You can help change their lives by donating books.
