This , my 6th blog is about the Athangudi tiles of Chetinad in Tamil Nadu. These tiles, handmade by local artisans integrate European styles of the Victorian era UK, Italy and Germany. They reflect the byegone glory of the affluent Chettinad populace who have migrated away from their homeland.
