There was a time when I measured my entire day by how much I had done. Busyness felt like purpose and rest felt unearned. The nuns in school said an idle mind is a devil's workshop, and I believed them for decades. But somewhere in the second half of life, that changes. Doing less without feeling guilty is not about withdrawing from life. It is about finally giving yourself permission to live it differently
