
Dreaming of Kyoto with Pico Iyer
apan is a mood. It is mysterious and alluring. It seems cheerful, but I’m not quite sure. Primarily since I’ve never been there, which will be remedied hopefully someday soon enough. Pico Iyer reveals quite a lot of the Japanese culture through his book, The Lady and the Monk: Four seasons in Kyoto, but it also feels like there is much left unsaid.
