A software developer by profession who ventured into cooking due to sheer necessity of sustaining oneself. I started off as someone who could not tell if a dish had enough salt. Once I started experimenting more in the kitchen though, I began to learn how salt elevates the flavor of every dish, what vegetables complement each other, how certain spice combinations whet the appetite, which herbs should be a pantry staple come-what-may and the learning about the art of rotating grains for eating a well balanced and varied diet every week. For me cooking is mostly about recreating dishes from childhood and flavors from some unforgettable dishes I tasted elsewhere. Today am a proud amateur cook recording my many trials in the kitchen, successes interspersed with some failures, altogether leading to a very happy and full tummy.
