In the 12th century, in the quiet village of Woolpit village in Suffolk, England, something unusual happened that left villagers both frightened and fascinated.
It was harvest season, and farmers were working in the fields when they noticed two small children near a pit that was used to trap wolves. The children appeared disoriented and frightened, clinging to each other as if they had wandered into a world that didn’t belong to them.
