Junction of Pasir Panjang – dwaraka
The junction of Pasir Panjang Road and Alexandra Road was a critical point – the last line of defense for British forces protecting Singapore City. If the Japanese were able to break through, British ammunition depots, the military hospital, and government offices would be under direct attack.
