Life of Pi is a fantasy adventure novel by Yann Martel published in 2001. Yann Martel’s second novel, Life of Pi , was named the winner of the 2002 Man Booker Prize for Fiction. The story revolves around the protagonist, Piscine Molitor “Pi” Patel, a Tamil boy who hails from Pondicherry. It is the story of Pi, who manages to survive on a boat, after a shipwreck, in the Pacific Ocean with a hyena, an orangutan, a zebra, and a Bengal tiger.
