Love and (Mellow)Drama by Manali Desai – The Book Brewer
Love and (Mellow) Drama, my first rom-com in ages, proved an engaging read. Varun and Gayatri's love story, reminiscent of Bollywood flair, unfolds like a Karan Johar film, striking a perfect balance between a movie and a book. While the narrative flows seamlessly with delightful Bollywood touches, the forced inclusion of women empowerment themes in the final chapters slightly disrupts an otherwise enjoyable, light-hearted romance.
