Resource constraints tied me down more than I liked; fortunately, my imagination wasn't bound by these limitations, letting me take solace in the wild corners of my mind. So, starting my reading and writing journey, right from my childhood, which was happily bereft of modern-day distractions. My childhood seamlessly blended into adulthood; books, movies, and rich conversations with family and friends filled my days, adding fodder to the existing madness in my head, covering myths, religions, right, left, centre, left-centre, right-centre, and everything in between, politics, philosophy, science, math, and much more. I love every moment of it, imbibing as much as I can, and opening my heart and mind to all kinds of thoughts and ideologies from across the globe. All this taught me an important lesson—the labels, categories, divisions, etc., all seem to stem from the fundamental human limitation to see uniqueness in each entity. We would go crazy if we tried to see each life form uniquely. So we group things conveniently for our understanding. The more I read, listened, and discussed life in general, and specifically human life, the harder this realisation hit me. My stories, more often than not, are rooted in my humble effort to dismantle convenient groupism to see the uniqueness of every single human in this world. That’s why I like to retell old stories in a new light, trying to understand the motivations behind all human action.
