Bloggers create content around a variety of topics but even for someone who writes quality, useful content on a consistent basis, it could be difficult to get new blog topics that excite your readers.
Experimenting with your topics and formats is great but as a blogger you do need traffic even while you change things up a bit.
The solution lies in being experimental within the topics that always get readership. Go for evergreen content.
Evergreen topics are those that have a sustained success even after a while they have been published. Which means that your article resonates and readers can find value in it later as well.
Here is a list of blog topics you can try if you don’t know what to blog about.
Write a round-up post
Nearing the year-end? Write a post that summarises the books you read this year, or the movies you watched or the places you have been to. You can summarise other experiences or even your blog posts.
Talk about Trends
You can talk about your niche and what are the important things happening there. If you are a content creator, talk about what new things are catching readers’ fancy, or what are the ways in which content creators promote their work or the formats that are experimented with more and more.
Product Reviews
You don’t have to be approached by a brand to do a product review. You are simply talking about your experience, be it a book or a movie or an appliance. You could talk about what worked or did not work for you, how things could be improved etc.
Beginner’s Guide
These are immensely popular for a lot of people are looking to get started in a variety of things and want information on how to go ahead. The topics could vary, based on your expertise but some examples would be how to begin a blog, how to start a youtube channel, how to start a business online etc
Lists
You could do a list of things around a common topic. Lists are easy to read and understand and usually a great and informal way to break down complex information. These could even be checklists.
Recycle Your Content
Change the format of your content and present it in a different manner. A long form post can be summarised and updated with relevant new information and more links for the reader. A story could be presented as a poem. Trends could be presented as an infographic and so on.
We hope these tips have given you a spark of an idea for your next blog post.
