This short fiction narrates a few days amidst the 2020 Pandemic amidst which life paths of unsuspecting individuals get tangled and contaminated. With a beauty parlor at the epicenter, in which some aspire to thrive while others struggle to survive, socio-economic fault lines are explored and exposed.

Tanushree Ghosh is a Director at Intel Corporation and has a Doctorate in Chemistry from Cornell University. She is also a social activist and writer. Her literary resume includes poems and stories featured in national and international magazines (Words Pauses and Noises, UK; TUCK, Glimmer Train Honorable mention) as well as inclusion in over a dozen anthologies such as Defiant Dreams (Oprah 2016 reading list placeholder) and The Best Asian Short Stories 2017 (published out of Singapore by Kitaab). Her first single author book is From An-Other Land (Dec, 2018, Readomania publishing, India) was featured in the NPR, USA. Her second single author work is Beyond #MeToo (Sage Publications). She is the founder and director of Her Rights (www.herrights.website), a 501(3) c non-profit committed to furthering the cause of gender equality. She frequently speaks on human rights, social justice, and diversity and inclusion in corporate and non-profits panels.
