Gokarna is a holy coastal town in northern part of Karnataka. It is popular among the Hindus for its Sri Mahabaleshwara Swamy Temple. However, it is more popular among backpackers and travellers for its pristine and clean beaches. There are five major beaches in Gokarna and several other beaches around it. The five main beaches of Gokarna are (North to South) - Gokarna Main Beach, Kudle Beach, Om Beach, Half Moon Beach and Paradise Beach. There are also several other beaches close to Gokarna.
