Diary of a Young Girl – book review
I had heard a lot about Anne Frank’s diary, and so I readily grabbed the opportunity to read it myself. The book reflects on the Holocaust period, which was the genocide of European Jews during the Second World War. In particular, it reflects on childhood during Nazi Germany. In her diary, Anne highlighted the numerous restrictions placed on the Jews, such as, they were allowed to visit certain places only during certain timings, they weren’t allowed to use trams, they couldn't own cars or bicycles, and many more. Later, Anne described how military vehicles would ‘cruise the streets’.
