This post gives a bird's eye view of how Lord Ganesha has been perceived and treated in Carnatic compositions. Ganesha, the remover of all obstacles is always the first to be worshipped in the pantheon of the gods. No concert is complete without presenting a composition addressed to Him. However, different composers have looked at Ganesha in different ways. This post briefly explores how Ganesha evokes different images and emotions in different composers.
