If the Fates Allow by Rainbow Rowell – A Rustic Mind
Raegan is visiting her grandfather for Christmas in December 2020. It’s the time when the world has assumed that the pandemic is either over or that they’ve all become immune to it. But Raegan and her grandfather don’t feel that way, that’s why they’re spending it together rather than with the whole family. Raegan meets a school time friend on her visit, when they’re both avoiding their families. A year later, they meet again in a comparatively relaxed mindset and world. Their common interest remains the same though: a Jell-O salad.
