Sleep is a common activity in every person's life which is characterized by altered consciousness, reduced mind activity and reduced muscular activity. On an average, a person spends around 8 hours of sleep everyday. During sleep, the brain waves move towards Theta and Delta waves. Theta state is the sleep state when the person would start seeing some dreams whereas Delta state is a more deep sleep dreamless state.
