August Reading Wrap Up
I have discovered my next favorite book series and it makes me so happy. Loved this one, and I am so glad that there are 3 more books in the series, yet to read.
The setting is pre-independence Bombay, with a parallel narrative in Calcutta of that time. There's India's first female lawyer in making - our protagonist Perveen Mistry. There's nuances of Parsi Family Law, the Mohammedan Law, a murder on Malabar Hill where reside three widows secluded from outside world, and so much sleuthing. Not a single dull moment.
