Naming Your Novel: The Hidden Struggle
“How do you manage to think and reproduce more than 40000 words?”
That’s the common question most of us get as authors.
But, what nobody talks about much is deciding the title. Here’s a blog article on my wrestle with 40-50 title ideas, self-doubt, emotional upheavals, fun, and a rare concoction I taste while naming every book I write.
I consider the title as my book’s soul. I decide a title after completing my book, two rounds of professional editing and innumerable rounds of more slicing, dicing, appreciating, soul-searching, rewriting, and countless mugs of caffeine tracing through me.
