The Stolen Necklace Review
The Stolen Necklace: A Small Crime in a Small Town
Book by Shevlin Sebastian and V.K. Thajudheen
The book locates the majority of the story in a small town in Kerala. Thajudheen comes home from Doha to celebrate his daughter's wedding. The satisfaction of seeing his child married is hardly wearing off when he is arrested for stealing a good necklace. The protagonist cries himself hoarse denying his presence in the crime scene but to no avail. The CCTV footage shows his resemblance to the thief and the police arrest him on that evidence alone.
