I smiled at her, a flicker of hope lighting up my face.
“Why are you smiling?” Jyoti asked, a hint of curiosity in her voice.
“There are seven Kannimar-s, aren’t there?” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.
“For our love,” she winked, “two will be enough.”
Her smile was like sunshine, radiating warmth that I couldn’t imagine living without.
